This is going to be the first post of many. Hilary and I just got back from a two week trip to Iceland and Norway and it was freakin’ amazing! We had so much fun visiting all the beautiful sights in both countries and I can hardly wait to share all the pictures I’ve taken. I’m going to be posting as frequently as I can over the next couple weeks but I took over 100GB worth of photos and its going to take a little while to sort through them all. Not to mention that we’re in the process of moving back to Colorado from Houston (hooray!). Needless to say, its going to be a crazy next couple of weeks but I’ll do my best to post pictures.

Our trip consisted of a week in Iceland traveling the Ring Road and a week in Norway visiting Åndalsnes, Ålesund, and Oslo. I’m going to be posting these in chronological order so we are starting todays blog with our first day in Reykjavík.

We landed super early after the 6 hour flight from Denver and we were both pretty jet lagged, but we had things to see and stuff to do. We spent the first half of the day wandering around the city and drinking lots of coffee. For lunch, we met up with our friends Bobby and Jeanie Riley who had recently moved to Iceland (you can find more about their time in Iceland at http://www.livelifewithaview.com/). They gave us the low-down on all the great spots that we had to visit while we were there and they even told us about a few that only the local know about.

After a long lunch with Bobby and Jeanie (and great ice cream at Valdís), we said our goodbyes and Hilary and I went to find our airbnb for the night and spend a little more time visiting the city.
